Scary Moments Bring Praise To God!!

Hey Gang,

What a week this has been for my family and I. My father ended up having a 45 minute seizure early Thursday morning about 5:00am. Through waiting with my Mother and Cheryl (a friend of the family) we found out that my Father of 72 out of the blue couldn't just have a seizure without some drastic conclusion. At first they stated there has to be some bleeding on the brain but were not sure until a CT Scan was completed.

At first when I saw him I thought the worst. It was like my Father of 72 was instantly a dad of 102. His speach was very shallow and broken up, his eyes were glossy, and breathing very shallow.

I knew my sister would be praying as God has always been on her heart. As I spend a little time in prayer myself. Knowing God would assist this man I can Dad but he calls Son. I was more praying for God to allow my Dad to see how a negative situation with Gods hands place upon the situation can be glorified in God's name.

It ended up that my Fathers seizure was due to a chemical loss of Magnesium and Thyroid imbalance also with Pneumonia.

Magnesium is a mineral important for muscle contractions, a healthy nervous system, immune system and strong bones. It is involved in hundreds of enzyme reactions in the body.
Magnesium deficiency in the body can cause the following: loss of appetite; disorientation; confusion; psychotic behavior; depression; tremors; convulsions; numbness, tingling, and cramps in the muscles; vasodilation, or widening of the blood vessels; coronary spasms; abnormal heart rhythms; seizures; and irritability of the nervous system.

Reading the above information definately confirms to me that is what has happened. He lost all but 0.1% of his magnesium and several of the above results were present.

My Father was transferred from Trenton Memorial Hospital to Belleville General Hospital on the same day and they started an IV drip of Magnesium and Pottasium.

I stopped by after work on Friday night and prior to my visit was informed that my Father was being still moody and not listening to anyone. I was expecting such when I stopped in to see him. However, he was the Dad I always knew. Very content and he looked his old self. We had a great visit and I explained to him how important it is to relax and let the drip work in his favour. You cannot heal in just 24 hours it may take a few days to replace what you lost within your body.

I think God really does know what he is doing for a small part of my prayer was for my Father to accept God as his saviour. I think after a little while I will share with him my thoughts on why things happen to Good people that seem so negative.

In conclusion I pondered in my prayer to God. Please if he doesn't have the chance to live, and it is his time to leave us. Show him yourself, so he can totally accept you as his Lord and Saviour. As I would like to give the greatest gift of life to my Father, his Salvation!

Let The Weekend Begin

Hey Gang,

It finally is here and I have an opportunity to sit down and Blog after my busy long week of working. Your life is pretty busy when you put in 90 Hours for two weeks. I know this is to be looked more at a blessing from God to have such an awesome job!! Thanks God!!!

Well lets recap my week.....

Monday & Wednesday (Blah!!) You can pretty much read it with my Monday blog...one in the same day for both days. However, the evening was good to see one of my best friends, Adam and assist with him moving into his new apartment. The five flights of stairs to climb up...not so nice. LOL Good to see Lindsay and Amy Beth also...Thanks for the help ladies!

Tuesday was good busy trying to get things cleared up and ready for the hectic Thursday and Friday to come.

Thursday was another clearing up day preparing to wrap things up for the completion of the work week.

Friday was a mixed bag....slow, busy, slow, busy....you get the picture. Didn't get all my blister packing done but that can be completed on Monday.

Leaving this work week on a good note....Yahoo.....New Technician starts this Monday!!! We can finally have another person using the computer. But now the task of trying to find a computer for her to use. LOL I guess the Pharmacists will have to just learn to counsel and check the prescriptions.

Looking forward to this weekend. Not quite sure what we are going to do. Definately get some groceries in the apartment. Maybe go get our anniversary gift also. Just nice to sit down, kick up your feet and relax finally enjoying a HOT cup of coffee for the first time this week. New Twilight Eclipse movie looks enticing, just might have to have a date night with my beautiful, loving wife.

Turning A Negative Into A Positive

Hey Gang,

Well today was a little stressful. Let's just say I really dislike it when an individual doesn't accepts their own errors, and points it back into your own face. I had to really focus on God during my lunch time as I was so angry at the negative outcome of the situation in question. One scripture that came to mind was:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”- Isaiah 41:10

It is so amazing that God strengthen and helps us without even expecting anything back. Most would just fight back and put that individual in their place. But somehow I was thinking at the time...be the bigger person. Also, knowing that there is so much more in life that could be worst.

A negative situation always has a positive outcome. I ended up working late tonight and has a good talk with my new Managers and they really praised my good work. Most times it can be a tough thing to go to work knowing that stress is just around the corner. But know I let God stand right there with me. Overlooking my day, and allowing life as we know it continue for the glory of God!!!

Until next time.
